SOCCER— American soccer fans have an inferiority complex rarely seen among sports adicionados. Whether that’s from getting stuffed into lockers by football players in high school or not, Major League Soccer knows how to play to its audience; the annual All-Star game pits the MLS best 11 against international competition so that the league’s fans can misguidedly boast. This year, the league will endeavor to prove that the top 18 players spread out amongst the entire league can keep up with an out-of-season Everton of the English Premier League.
